Summer Pests: Japanese Beetles
Are your plants or flowers being invaded by these summer pests? Japanese Beetles will be here through September! They may invade the inside of your home by accident. Japanese Beetles are mainly found flying around the outside perimeter of your home or feasting on leavings of plants or flowers in your yard.
Japanese Beetles have a green body with brown wing covers.. They are most active on warm sunny days.
Japanese Beetles are not harmful but more of a nuisance -particularly to those who spend a lot of time on their flower or plant beds. Their life cycle begins in the soil. It generally takes a full year for the egg to mature into a full adult. The adults feed on plants and releases pheromones to attract other beetles.
